Take the Call, Make the Call, Refer the Call

Corkscrew Events are the event management company behind The Business Growth Show. We are very passionate about networking and believe that it is essential when growing a business. Speed Networking has become our trademark with The Sergeant Major leading businesses taking place over an hour session. Over the years up to 10,000 businesses have taken part in one our speed networking sessions throughout the country including Confex and Business North West.

With networking close to our hearts we designed an event giving businesses the chance to take part in what we believe is important in any business. The Business Growth Show is a business to business networking event designed around networking encouraging businesses to exchange business contacts and conversation.

At Corkscrew Events we believe in three key phrases, make the call, take the call and refer the call. Take the time to make the call with the contacts after networking and make sure you return your time by taking the calls of the people you meet. Finally if you meet a business that isn’t useful to you, don’t forget they may be useful to someone else, so keep them in mind for future clients or colleagues! To some up here are a few bullet points to remember:

Our top tips for speed networking:

  • Take lots of business cards
  • Listen to each individual; you may want to refer their business, if it’s not for you!
  • Be concise get your 3 USPs across in 60 seconds
  • Take notes, because you won’t remember faces
  • Follow up conversations that were worthwhile
